This reading is for the month of October 2018 for Scorpio sun, moon and rising.
Timing Is Everything
This past full moon in Aries conjunct Chiron on Sept. 24th hit everyone, Scorpio. Although I don’t feel as much emotional struggle from you as I do for some of the other signs, I do feel that you are in the midst of re-learning to channel your awesome personal power in positive ways. I feel you are being asked to slow down and observe your environment more closely before you do that so that you can move forward in the right direction. Patience and timing are going to be your friends in this process.
The Hexagram (Double Triangle) Spread
The Hexagram Spread forms a circle of two triangles. The first triangle represents the outer ways of being. The second triangle shows what’s really behind this situation. I also pulled an oracle card to get an understanding of the theme behind this reading.
- The Apparent Situation: Queen of Wands in reverse
- The Point of Tension: The Hanged Man in reverse
- The Key to Resolution: Ace of Pentacles in reverse
- The Subconscious Situation: The Lord in reverse
- The Pivot of Change: Two of Pentacles in reverse
- The Key to Harmony: Princess of Wands
Theme: Full Moon/Completion in reverse
I feel impatience coming from you big time, Scorpio, as October rolls in. Upright, the Queen of Wands brings opportunity to her by virtue of her divine flame. Reversed, she feels cut off from getting what she needs, and so she grows demanding and snappy.
Look. I’m not saying that you’re being demanding and snappy but…well okay, maybe a little teeny bit. Am I right, Scorpio? It looks that way, because I feel you struggling to get what you want and because of it you’re showing the people around you a little bit of that infinite and, um, terrifying Scorpio power that freaks the hell out of them.
On the plus side, a lot of people around you are quickly learning not to mess with you.
When I look at this reading, however, I feel there are some karmic lessons for you still to absorb, dear Scorpio. And one of them is patience. In the second card, the point of tension, we see the Hanged Man in reverse. The Hanged Man is a Major Arcana card, meaning that it shows one lesson of karmic and human development. Upright, a guy is hanging by his foot. In reverse, you’d think he’d be in a better situation…but his foot is still bound, after all.
Look at the card more closely. In the mouth of the man are leafy greens, and next to him, a bower of berries leans towards him as if offering themselves up. Behind him, a field of wheat stands ripe and ready to be harvested with the scythe lying on the grass. Everything seems so close to his grasp and yet…he struggles to get to it.
You don’t have to control every situation to get what you need.
The bottom line here is, Scorpio, that you can get everything you need, but there is such a thing as divine timing. The lesson of the Hanged Man is to relax and let things come to you in the timeframe they were meant to. The more you struggle, the further you get from your goal–hence, we come to the Ace of Pentacles in reverse. Rushing to get to what you want is not the way to build a firm foundation for anything.
I feel this is largely work-related though that may not be true for all Scorpios. But this feels like a situation that involves more than one other individual, or involves some kind of negotiation.
Looking at the beginning of the second triangle, the Lord in reverse tells us everything we need to know about why this opportunity hasn’t panned out for you yet. The Lord represents structure, organizations–so yes, I feel that for many this is a work situation–law and authority. I feel that the current structure surrounding your situation is chaotic and disorganized, and in that state, you’re not going to get anything useful done. In many ways, this situation is outside of you and you can’t control it. Scorpio LOVES when I tell them they can’t control the situation lol.
You can, however, use the lesson of the Lord–another Major Arcana card–and do some reflecting on any internal chaos going on inside you. I say that because the next card, what we call the pivot of change, is the Two of Pentacles in reverse. In typical Scorpio fashion, you have way too much going on all at the same time. No one else expects you to be such a freaking super hero except you!
Seriously, we all do admire the laser-like determination of Scorpio to handle huge loads, but when I see the Two of Pentacles in reverse, it tells me you need to chill out. Again, TIMING pops in my head as a huge part of all of this.
Let’s look at the theme card that I pulled for you: Full Moon/Completion. It came in reverse. I feel that you are waiting for something to come to completion but it hasn’t yet because there are still events unfolding that need to happen before you can move forward. Part of these events are things happening or about to happen in the physical world. The other half are going to be your internal reactions to them.
The universe has gifts for you–so get yourself ready to receive them.
The universe has gifts for you in mind–but the universe wants you to receive them when they are at their best and you are at your best to be able to make use of them. I know you can get through this, dear Scorpio, because the final card we come to is the Princess of Wands and she knows what’s up. She has a path and she is setting off on it and no one better try to tell her otherwise!
That’s you 100%, and I promise you that you will GET there. Just chill out for a hot second and let things happen as they happen!
