Aries Channeled Message: Break Your Chains!

Trying something new this week my sweet friends! In testing out this new (to me) medium of channeled, or automatic, writing, I’ve decided to try one week’s worth of messages by astrological sign. This message is for sun, moon and rising sign Aries.

Channeled Card: Cernunnos

Dear Aries, this is a turbulent and emotional week for you. When I pulled Cernunnos, the underlying feeling that came to me was a kind of deep sense of self-punishment and being chained to this feeling. Cernunnos is the Druidcraft Tarot’s version of what would typically be the Devil in a standard Tarot deck.

Dark way to start your week! But God/Source/Spirit always brings these messages with divine love so when a card like Cernunnos comes up, there is a message within it for how to better take care of yourself, which I will get to.

One of the reasons I prefer the Druidcraft Tarot deck is that druidism does not believe in the Devil–that is, does not believe in the concept of anyone being purely bad. “Bad” is not the energy I feel here when I look at this card because you are not bad. But I feel that many of you are so unhappy right now, my dear Aries, and for that, please know that Spirit feels this too and is surrounding you with love.

What comes through to me with Cernunnos is that you have been going through a fundamental shift in your emotional biorhythms (I don’t know what this means but that’s the word that came through…if I get more on this later, I’ll revise this post). It’s like you are addressing fundamental belief systems or deep-seated emotions that are directly tied to your sense of self and they’re being attacked, examined, uprooted or in some way deeply disturbed.

Cernunnos is the Green Man of the Forest, a figure in druidism that (if I understand correctly) represents the deep, subconscious forces that lie within all of us–including desires, urges, wants, ambitions and drives. We all have these feelings and we can easily recognize how powerful they are.

In fact, in many ways, Cernunnos is a beautiful card of power. Deep desires, such as the sexual passion driving the exhausted couple in front of Cernunnos, are part of our human experience and a beautiful thing.

But this card comes with a warning–it is easy to become consumed by these forces if we are not careful, and then they become our masters instead of we theirs. That’s why Cernunnos can appear to be a bit scary (and that is why in the traditional Tarot the Devil usually shows two people in chains).

The feeling of being chained to deeply unpleasant or self-hating emotions is what is coming through strongly for me with Cernunnos, dear Aries. I feel you’ve been forced to directly look at some part of yourself that makes you acutely uncomfortable, or even ashamed, and you are struggling with those feelings. You’re feeling like you can’t escape this deep sense of self-loathing.

I need you to understand that you are perfect in the eyes of Spirit, and there is nothing to be ashamed of.

Wherever this self-hate is coming from, you need to put a pause on that. As the baby of the zodiac, Aries is sometimes accused of being self-centered and self-serving, but that is also the lesson they bring to all of us. Aries is pure excitement, joy, fun and enthusiasm!

I feel right now like your fire is dampened but I feel Spirit is telling me that this is only because there is something you need to learn from and heal from. In fact, it is not the unhappiness that is keeping you chained, but some belief system behind that unhappiness. If your beliefs are not serving you, then they are surely keeping you in darkness. And being stuck in darkness becomes the behavior that we then put out into the world.

It is so easy for us–and hey, me included–to feel that our beliefs are our identity, part of our soul. But so often they are the result of upbringing, environment, culture, religion. Many of them are worth keeping, but sometimes some of them are actually holding us back. You have so much to give the universe that Spirit will not allow you to stagnate in beliefs that are limiting your personal power. We need you, Aries!

Do you see the irony of that statement? The lesson of Cernunnos is that in confronting our dark side, we actually take back power from the dark unconscious. We realize that our own potential is limitless, and thus not chained to finite ideas that are transient with time and cultures.

Spirit wants you to remember that you, too, are infinite. You can break you own chains.
